Attention college bound juniors and undecided college bound seniors: Haven Day at Penn State Schuylkill is November 18th. We will take a trip to the campus, learn about opportunities there and lunch is included. We will be gone from approximately 9:00 – 1:00. Permission slips are available in the guidance office. Trip is first come, first served as we will be taking one bus so act fast to reserve your spot! Permission slips are due November 11th.

The Schuylkill Haven Area High School Math Team kicked off their competition season with an impressive performance at the Dickinson College Competition on Tuesday, October 21st — finishing 11th out of 32 schools! 🙌
The team included seniors Ariyanna Wright, Blake Rossi, and Matthew Angelo, along with junior Justin Watcher. Individually, Justin placed 11th and Matthew finished 34th out of 124 students! 👏
We’re so proud of their hard work and teamwork! The Hurricanes will continue their season on Tuesday, November 4th, when they compete in the AMC 10/12.

The Friends Forever Club gathered this week for a fun and festive pumpkin painting session. Members brought their creativity and enthusiasm as they decorated pumpkins with bright colors, unique designs, and plenty of fall flair. Laughter and conversation filled the room, making it a joyful time to relax, connect, and celebrate the season together. The event was a great success, leaving everyone with colorful pumpkins and warm memories.

On Wednesday 10/15, my AP US History/Government and Econ/World Tensions students took a field trip to Gettysburg to experience the impacts of a major Civil War battle on American history and development. Students had lots of fun seeing the cyclorama, touring the museum, and learning from an outstanding Civil War expert on a bus tour of the important battle town.
Congratulations Zamonie Alexander, Maria Frantz, and Elizabeth Krause on successfully auditioning and making County Chorus! Over 100 Students auditioned for a spot in this year’s ensemble and we are so proud of these students. Zamonie, Maria, and Elizabeth will represent Schuylkill Haven in the Festival held at Pottsville this February
