ANTICIPATED FULL-TIME SCHOOL NURSE
The Schuylkill Haven Area School District is seeking a compassionate, student-centered anticipated full-time School Nurse to join our educational team. This position plays a vital role in promoting the health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff while supporting a positive learning environment.

The School Nurse provides comprehensive health services to students, manages health records, administers medications, responds to medical emergencies, and collaborates with families, staff, and community healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily nursing care and first aid to students and staff

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies

• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

• Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs)

• Participate in student support teams and collaborate with administrators, teachers, and parents

• Promote health education, wellness initiatives, and disease prevention

• Respond to emergencies and support school safety protocols

 Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Pennsylvania School Nurse Certification (or eligibility to obtain)

• Experience in school nursing or pediatric/community health preferred

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to student health, confidentiality, and professionalism

 Position Details:

• Anticipated full-time position

• This position is part of the state retirement system (PSERS) and gives the successful candidate access to medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits as well as tuition reimbursement
